Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead development of networking and storage frameworks for large-scale cloud platforms.
- Own end-to-end technical strategy and make high-impact architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with product, hardware, and business teams to define requirements and deliver strategic solutions.
- Ensure code quality, reliability, and security through reviews and automation.
- Drive best practices in observability, diagnostics, and performance optimization.
- Represent the team in cross-functional forums and mentor engineering talent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field and 3+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 10+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in networking and storage systems.
- Preferred: technical leadership and architectural ownership in large-scale distributed systems.
- Preferred: proficiency in C, C++, C#, Java, Python, and cloud technologies.
- Preferred: communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, strategic initiative, and organizational influence experience.
Benefits

- The typical U.S. base pay range is $142,800–$274,800 per year; location-specific ranges apply in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
- The position is open for a minimum of five days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
