Base Salary

$85k - $193k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Write, configure, and deploy Go and JavaScript code to improve service reliability.
  • Develop and manage monitoring application backends using Go, Postgres, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Build infrastructure tooling with Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Optimize and scale Google Cloud Platform infrastructure for performance, cost, and demand.
  • Lead debugging, troubleshooting, code reviews, system analysis, and production-change reviews.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, postmortems, incident prevention, and operational monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain automated solutions for performance tuning, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Implement security best practices, participate in audits and vulnerability assessments, and maintain compliance.
  • Perform capacity planning, performance profiling, configuration tuning, and trend analysis.
  • Create design documentation, runbooks, playbooks, and internal knowledge-base content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an SRE, Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Solid programming skills in Go and scripting languages with knowledge of software development best practices.
  • Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools, particularly OpenTelemetry and Dynatrace or comparable tools.
  • Proficiency with cloud services, preferably including Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with relational and document databases.
  • Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
