Responsibilities
- Design client-specific production architectures spanning infrastructure, cloud and hybrid platforms, systems, networks, integrations, databases, security, and observability.
- Support bids and pre-sales engagements by defining technical requirements, developing target architectures, evaluating TCO, and partnering with Sales on Statements of Work.
- Lead resolution of complex production issues and high-severity incidents, including diagnosis, mitigation, verified resolution, and corrective actions.
- Build prototypes, load tests, failure reproductions, and diagnostic tools to validate technical assumptions.
- Design and optimize database architecture, integrations, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, and Infrastructure as Code automation.
- Establish SRE, high-availability, disaster-recovery, observability, and production monitoring practices, including SLOs, SLAs, recovery objectives, and DORA metrics.
- Guide deployment, DevOps, and SRE specialists; mentor colleagues; and influence cross-functional technical decisions.
- Partner with the AI Lab to integrate AI and generative AI responsibly, including LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, orchestrated workflows, anomaly detection, and intelligent automation.
- Embed security, privacy, regulatory compliance, governance, and human oversight into architecture decisions, particularly for health data.
Requirements
- A university degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in solution, systems, or infrastructure architecture within production environments.
- Expertise in cloud and hybrid architecture, Infrastructure as Code, networking, client-specific infrastructure design, SRE, high availability, disaster recovery, observability, performance engineering, and incident management.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex production failures and explain root-cause analysis and critical incident actions.
- Fluency with profilers, distributed tracing, packet capture, query plans, load testing, and operating-system-level investigation.
- Experience with systems integration, APIs, data architecture, database performance, migrations, capacity planning, CI/CD, deployment automation, Infrastructure as Code, and DORA metrics.
- Experience applying security, privacy, and compliance requirements in architecture; healthcare or other regulated-industry experience is preferred.
- Sound commercial judgment balancing performance, reliability, delivery speed, risk, and TCO.
- Experience integrating AI or generative AI responsibly into solutions or operational processes is a strong asset.
- Influential technical leadership, mentoring ability, intellectual curiosity, continuous-learning orientation, and strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluency in both French and English is mandatory.
