Responsibilities

  • Design client-specific production architectures spanning infrastructure, cloud and hybrid platforms, systems, networks, integrations, databases, security, and observability.
  • Support bids and pre-sales engagements by defining technical requirements, developing target architectures, evaluating TCO, and partnering with Sales on Statements of Work.
  • Lead resolution of complex production issues and high-severity incidents, including diagnosis, mitigation, verified resolution, and corrective actions.
  • Build prototypes, load tests, failure reproductions, and diagnostic tools to validate technical assumptions.
  • Design and optimize database architecture, integrations, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, and Infrastructure as Code automation.
  • Establish SRE, high-availability, disaster-recovery, observability, and production monitoring practices, including SLOs, SLAs, recovery objectives, and DORA metrics.
  • Guide deployment, DevOps, and SRE specialists; mentor colleagues; and influence cross-functional technical decisions.
  • Partner with the AI Lab to integrate AI and generative AI responsibly, including LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, orchestrated workflows, anomaly detection, and intelligent automation.
  • Embed security, privacy, regulatory compliance, governance, and human oversight into architecture decisions, particularly for health data.

Requirements

  • A university degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in solution, systems, or infrastructure architecture within production environments.
  • Expertise in cloud and hybrid architecture, Infrastructure as Code, networking, client-specific infrastructure design, SRE, high availability, disaster recovery, observability, performance engineering, and incident management.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex production failures and explain root-cause analysis and critical incident actions.
  • Fluency with profilers, distributed tracing, packet capture, query plans, load testing, and operating-system-level investigation.
  • Experience with systems integration, APIs, data architecture, database performance, migrations, capacity planning, CI/CD, deployment automation, Infrastructure as Code, and DORA metrics.
  • Experience applying security, privacy, and compliance requirements in architecture; healthcare or other regulated-industry experience is preferred.
  • Sound commercial judgment balancing performance, reliability, delivery speed, risk, and TCO.
  • Experience integrating AI or generative AI responsibly into solutions or operational processes is a strong asset.
  • Influential technical leadership, mentoring ability, intellectual curiosity, continuous-learning orientation, and strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Fluency in both French and English is mandatory.

Benefits

  • A trust-based workplace offering autonomy, collaboration, continuous learning, dedicated training time, a skills development platform, and access to cutting-edge tools.
  • Stimulating projects advancing healthcare technology and supporting more than 320,000 professionals and 6 million patients.
  • Comprehensive benefits including group insurance from day one, group RRSP with employer contributions, 24/7 telemedicine, and an employee and family assistance program.
  • At least 3 weeks of vacation per year.
  • Equal access to employment and a commitment to diversity.
