Responsibilities
- Define and lead the architecture of Esko’s AWS-based cloud platform.
- Design and write critical Java software components and modules for scalable, secure, resilient, multi-tenant SaaS solutions.
- Lead cloud modernization involving microservices, Kubernetes, DevOps, AI-enabled services, data architecture, and platform engineering.
- Establish architectural standards, governance, tool-selection processes, and platform evolution practices.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to deliver cloud-native capabilities.
- Guide decisions across software development, infrastructure, deployment, operations, security, and reliability.
- Manage and mentor a team of architects and provide technical leadership across the company.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in software development and architecture roles.
- Proven experience building large-scale enterprise or SaaS platforms.
- Deep expertise in AWS cloud technologies and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong hands-on Java backend development experience using Java and related frameworks.
- Experience designing high-performance microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems in Java-based technology stacks.
- Broad experience across software development, architecture, DevOps, deployment automation, operations, and platform reliability.
- Experience designing and operating multi-tenant SaaS platforms at scale.
- Strong leadership experience managing and mentoring architecture teams.
- Expertise with Kubernetes, containers, APIs, event-driven architectures, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and security.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and engineering teams.
- Preferred qualifications include packaging, manufacturing, supply chain, CPG, or life sciences experience; AI, data platform, and modern SaaS ecosystem experience; AWS Professional certifications; and experience leading cloud transformation and platform consolidation initiatives.
