Responsibilities

Own and navigate a large backend ecosystem of multiple services with minimal ramp-up support.
Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Golang.
Analyze legacy and unreviewed code to identify technical debt, systemic issues, and architectural risks.
Identify inefficiencies and improvement areas, then propose and implement solutions.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define technical objectives and execute roadmap initiatives.
Advocate for architectural improvements and negotiate technical decisions with peer engineering teams.
Contribute to long-term platform evolution while balancing short-term business priorities.
Ensure reliability and performance of high-load production systems.

5+ years of commercial software development experience.
Strong proficiency in Golang.
Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from planning and objective-setting through delivery and support.
Proven experience with high-load, high-traffic production systems.
Strong understanding of scalable and maintainable backend architecture principles.
Ability to work independently with large and unfamiliar codebases.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder negotiation skills.
Ability to align technical solutions with business and customer needs.
Upper-Intermediate English level.
Preferred: experience with C++, Objective-C, or Rust; ownership of a large-scale legacy system; cybersecurity or infrastructure-focused products; distributed systems; and service-oriented architectures.
