Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop and deploy proprietary AI-powered risk management and regulatory solutions with GRC partners.
- Build robust cloud-based solutions and collaborate with digital product managers and architects.
- Use programming languages, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services to deliver software.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, refactor systems, and enhance performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy and mentor engineering community members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred: 3+ years with databases and database management systems and 3+ years with AWS, GCP, Azure, or related cloud technologies.
- Preferred: experience with open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience troubleshooting cloud environments, using AI coding tools and IDE copilots, mentoring engineers, applying observability, and optimizing distributed-system performance.
- Preferred: experience leading cross-functional engineering efforts, large-scale technical initiatives, and coding-standard or design-pattern adoption.
