Responsibilities

  • Lead and support quality engineering practices across delivery lanes to improve release reliability and reduce rework.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable automated end-to-end test solutions using Playwright.
  • Define quality strategies, test coverage expectations, and quality gates with engineering and product partners.
  • Validate features at the story level and test cross-team dependencies before integration.
  • Test APIs and microservices, including integration and contract validation.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support test data management and defect prevention.
  • Support demo readiness and release validation across coordinated, multi-team environments.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and automation.
  • Mentor and guide engineers on quality best practices and promote engineering excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or QA Test Engineering in agile development environments.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining E2E automated testing frameworks, preferably with Playwright.
  • Experience defining and executing test strategies across multiple teams or delivery lanes.
  • Experience testing APIs and microservices, including REST services, integration testing, and contract validation.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language; JavaScript or TypeScript is preferred, while Java or Python is also acceptable.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, such as with GitHub Actions, and applying quality gates.
  • Understanding of shift-left testing, including unit, integration, and story-level validation.
  • Experience supporting demo readiness and release validation in multi-team environments.
  • Ability to identify quality risks and drive mitigation across teams.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting engineers and influencing quality practices beyond an individual team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
