Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI systems for foundation model training, LLM inference, similarity search, guardrails, evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability.
- Use open-source and SaaS AI technologies to build scalable foundational AI systems.
- Invent and apply LLM training and inference optimization techniques to improve scalability, cost, latency, throughput, and hardware utilization.
- Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap for foundational AI systems.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus at least six years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or a master’s degree in one of these fields plus at least four years of relevant experience.
- At least six years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
- Experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience designing, developing, integrating, delivering, and supporting complex AI systems.
- Experience with LLM inference, similarity search, VectorDBs, guardrails, or memory using technologies such as Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang.
- Experience developing and applying advanced techniques to optimize AI training and inference software.
- Ability to lead and mentor engineers, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex AI concepts clearly.
- Strong engineering, mathematics, hardware, software, and AI foundations, with the ability to apply AI research techniques in production.
