Responsibilities
- Create highly scalable solutions for Operations, carriers, and freight forwarders.
- Define architecture and lead projects involving experienced engineers and product managers.
- Coordinate collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Oversee development and API design for an integrated delivery and returns system.
- Maintain high standards for continuous integration, code quality, code reviews, and test coverage.
- Contribute to engineering standards and technology decisions through Zalando’s Senior Engineering Community and Tech Radar.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Docker, AWS, Postgres, REST API design, and event systems such as Kafka.
- Experience across the full development cycle in an agile setting, including manual and automated testing and deployment to CI/CD systems.
- Strong ownership, analytical thinking, communication skills, and willingness to share knowledge.
- Fluent written and spoken English is required.
