Base Salary
$136k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements analysis, architecture design, and development of scalable, resilient, secure, reliable, and cost-optimized clearing applications.
- Develop Java software using object-oriented design, advanced patterns, multithreading, distributed messaging, and event-driven architectures.
- Perform code reviews, write unit and integration tests, document software, and maintain at least 90% unit and integration test coverage.
- Analyze project and application risks and recommend quality improvements while following SDLC, architectural, audit, security, performance, and functional standards.
- Support production systems by advising on functionality and fixes and communicating defects or delays to relevant stakeholders.
- Mentor developers and collaborate with business analysts, architects, product owners, technical teams, and non-technical professionals.
- Assist with departmental and new employee training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar technical field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience building large-scale compute and event-driven solutions.
- Required experience with Java 8+, including Java internals, object-oriented design, advanced patterns such as AOP, and multithreading.
- Experience with cloud technologies and migrations and with databases including relational, NoSQL, object-based, and graph databases.
- Required experience following Git workflows and writing high-quality code with 90% or greater unit and integration test coverage.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Amazon Kinesis, Apache Spark, Kafka Streams, Apache Flink, JUnit, Citrus, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, Splunk, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and AppDynamics.
- Experience integrating modeling libraries is required; risk analytics technology implementation experience is a plus.
- OCP Java SE 8 Programmer and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certifications are preferred.
- Strong collaboration, strategic thinking, mentoring, intellectual curiosity, and flexibility are expected.
