Base Salary

$168k - $310k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and harden cloud security architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Improve cloud-native threat detection using native cloud security tools and relevant frameworks.
  • Perform security assessments of Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, serverless applications, and other critical cloud workloads.
  • Build custom tools and scripts to continuously discover cloud misconfigurations and security gaps.
  • Conduct collaborative purple team exercises and provide security analysis before and during development.
  • Transition cloud security tooling to an infrastructure-as-code model using secure software, process, and infrastructure practices.
  • Improve CI/CD, automated testing, release management, development workflows, and deployment reliability.
  • Collaborate across teams to build and maintain complex security software and tools.
  • Contribute to cloud logging strategy and improve the availability, performance, scalability, and security of security tooling.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, or Google GCP.
  • Experience building infrastructure with CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Rust, or Go.
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools such as SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, and CI/CD infrastructure such as Jenkins.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, network security, operating system fundamentals, security concepts, and technical operations.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps, SDLC automation, and software engineering practices.
  • Experience writing user documentation and implementing cross-functional projects.
  • Experience working in an agile or agile-like development workflow.
  • Ability to serve as a hands-on technical contributor and mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong communication, accountability, independent-work, and problem-solving skills.
