Base Salary
$145k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java-based backend services using Spring Boot and microservices architectures.
- Implement workflow automation and decision-support solutions across Temporal, Camunda, Flowable, JBPM, Drools, and Appian.
- Build AI-enabled service capabilities for intelligent routing, context-aware processing, and embedded decision support.
- Lead microservices and event-driven architectures for scalable enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with Technical Architects to translate designs into implementation.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and engineering best practices.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development with Claude, Copilot, or similar tools while maintaining strong validation and engineering standards.
- Support CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud deployments using OpenShift, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Develop reusable services and shared platform components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 8–10+ years of enterprise backend development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, integration patterns, workflow orchestration, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience integrating AI-driven capabilities into enterprise systems.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle, CI/CD, DevOps, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Familiarity with Copilot, Claude, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
- Proven ability to lead designs, mentor engineers, and drive alignment.
- Preferred experience building workflow and decision automation platforms.
- Preferred exposure to AI-native development practices and Appian or similar platforms.
- Healthcare IT or regulated-environment experience is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, communication, curiosity, learning agility, resilience, and integrity.
