Responsibilities
- Extend Keycloak and LDAP identity federation to disconnected edge nodes, including cached-credential authentication and RBAC propagation.
- Own cloud-to-edge data refresh, state consistency, migration, persistence, and cache-republishing contracts.
- Automate propagation of cloud architecture changes to edge NixOS closures and maintain cloud-edge parity.
- Define and test failover and reconnect behavior under degraded, disconnected, intermittent, and limited conditions.
- Set technical direction for the sub-team and mentor individual contributors.
Requirements
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance that can be maintained.
- Mandatory software background and strong proficiency in Go, Rust, or Python.
- Knowledge of distributed-systems fundamentals including consensus, conflict resolution, and eventual consistency.
- Cloud architecture experience, preferably with GCP, including VPC, identity-provider, and networking concepts.
- Comfort working with on-premises and bare-metal edge deployments.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Preferred: ownership of a reliability/SRE or platform-engineering charter.
