Responsibilities
- Engineer stable, scalable, performant, accessible, testable, and secure Android software solutions.
- Lead technical development at the product, team, or domain level and take ownership of technical delivery and application health.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code and participate in code reviews, planning, and team ceremonies.
- Apply automation, performance testing, regression testing, debugging, and quality assurance practices.
- Own technical custodianship, governance activities, and incident root-cause analysis for technical assets.
- Identify opportunities for reuse and automation to reduce manual effort and technical debt.
- Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge as a subject matter expert, and contribute to technical communities.
- Communicate with stakeholders, contribute to continuous improvement, and stay current with technology trends.
- Provide hardware, software, and network support as needed.
- Apply basic AI concepts using established tools and procedures to address familiar scenarios.
Requirements
- Demonstrated deep understanding of system design and subject matter expertise in key technologies and domains.
- Ability to write and maintain clean, efficient, well-documented software independently.
- Experience applying testing, automation, performance checks, debugging, and software quality practices.
- Ability to lead technical development and take responsibility for delivery, application health, and governance.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to apply traditional and agile best practices, prioritise work, escalate impediments, and act on feedback.
