Base Salary
$183k - $228k/yr
Responsibilities
- Apply trading-domain knowledge, quantitative expertise, and technical skills to develop order-management solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements and design reviews.
- Shape and optimize applications and supporting services using AWS-backed technology.
- Build developer automation that supports scalable, high-quality applications.
- Advocate pragmatic design and development best practices.
- Coach, mentor, and inspire product engineers building secure enterprise applications.
- Solve complex technical problems and communicate solutions clearly.
- Contribute to a collaborative culture of learning, teaching, and transparency.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a history of architecting and designing new products and technologies.
- Expert-level knowledge of Java or Kotlin, with Kotlin preferred, or equivalent expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline.
- Experience applying design patterns and OOAD/SOLID principles and writing automated unit tests.
- Ability to independently navigate complex codebases, evaluate new technologies, solve technical challenges, and communicate effectively.
- Bonus: experience with buy-side order management systems, complex financial instruments and valuations, or mathematics.
Benefits
- Typical starting base salary is $182,500–$228,000, with an alternate $200,500–$251,000 range for select locations including the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area.
