Responsibilities
- Write safe, testable C# code using enterprise standards for parameter binding, exception handling, and resource cleanup.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries involving joins, grouping, null handling, and transaction boundaries.
- Debug systematically using logs, breakpoints, variable inspection, and methodical reasoning.
- Implement features and bug fixes from specifications with attention to edge cases and test coverage.
- Participate in code reviews as both an author and reviewer.
- Collaborate with QA, product, and customer success to understand requirements and validate solutions.
- Use AI tools responsibly for learning and coding support while verifying generated code and following data-safety policies.
Requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of C# and the .NET Framework, including value and reference types, LINQ, collections, async/await, exception handling, and resource cleanup.
- Ability to write SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE SQL queries and use joins, grouping, filtering, null checks, transactions, and parameterized queries.
- Understanding of database constraints, application data integrity, SQL injection prevention, and safe exception handling.
- Ability to use a debugger, inspect variable state, review logs and error messages, and write small test cases to isolate problems.
- Strong communication, ownership, curiosity, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle; ASP.NET, WinForms, or similar web or desktop development; Git, Azure DevOps, or similar version control; unit testing or test-driven development; and enterprise software or ERP systems.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent self-directed learning.
