Responsibilities
- Drive architectural direction for backend systems within Datto Endpoint Backup.
- Lead complex cross-team initiatives and mentor engineers.
- Define and promote engineering best practices and coding standards.
- Own mission-critical features and subsystems from concept to production.
- Conduct deep design reviews and provide technical oversight.
- Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams on roadmaps.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building large-scale backend systems.
- Expertise in Golang and familiarity with REST APIs and gRPC.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and Cassandra databases.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong architectural leadership with microservices and distributed systems.
