Base Salary
$187k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and implement computer vision algorithms and machine learning models for real-world applications.
- Train and optimize neural networks, maintain training pipelines, and create large datasets, benchmarks, and evaluation systems.
- Extend ML training and runtime frameworks with efficiency features and optimizations.
- Deploy and characterize models on Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms for real-time, on-device performance.
- Analyze AI workload bottlenecks through simulation and on-device profiling across Qualcomm hardware and software stacks.
- Own technical direction, influence system architecture, and drive solutions from research through production deployment.
- Lead teams developing and prototyping ML solutions and contribute to subsystem proposals and roadmaps.
- Partner with hardware engineers to influence silicon design and system-level ML architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 6+ years of related experience; alternatively, a master's degree and 5+ years or a PhD and 4+ years.
- Experience with computer vision algorithm development in areas such as optical flow, depth estimation, visual tracking, multi-view geometry, visual odometry, SLAM, or 3D scene reconstruction.
- Preferred experience includes 6+ years in video hardware or systems, hardware system design, system integration, schematic capture, and circuit simulation software.
- Programming experience with C, C++, or Python, along with computer architecture or embedded systems experience.
- Experience with AI/ML algorithm development and commercialization, including architecting and shipping system-level computer vision solutions.
- Knowledge of on-device ML deployment, quantization, pruning or distillation, profiling, memory and power budgeting, and heterogeneous compute.
- Experience with AI accelerators, inference and runtime stacks, model benchmarking, end-to-end evaluation, testing, and edge AI operations.
- Ability to translate research into deployable systems, implement ideas from academic papers, and balance innovation with production constraints.
- Familiarity with Qualcomm AI platforms, heterogeneous acceleration, and on-device inference.
- Experience in mobile, AR/VR, robotics, automotive, or IoT domains is preferred.
- Experience in a large matrixed organization, interaction with senior leadership, and technical leadership with or without direct reports is preferred.
