Responsibilities
- Manage engineering deliverables across the complete software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine technical product specifications.
- Architect and build scalable, high-performance applications using clean and maintainable code.
- Implement backend microservices, frontend interfaces, and RESTful APIs.
- Automate repetitive engineering workflows and troubleshoot complex software systems.
- Execute testing and validation, including test-driven development and automated testing.
- Conduct peer code reviews and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external partners on solution architecture.
- Optimize application performance and maintain alignment with modern technical standards.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software development experience.
- Proven expertise developing performant Java software for large-scale systems.
- Hands-on experience architecting backend microservices with Spring Boot.
- Experience building frontend interfaces with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Deep proficiency with relational databases including MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing RESTful web APIs.
- Experience with test-driven development, automated testing, Selenium, Cypress, and RestAssured.
- Experience using Generative AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot in Spec-Driven Development workflows.
- Advanced proficiency with Git and familiarity with DataDog and New Relic.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Ansible, Jenkins, Unix/Linux, IP networking, AWS, Microsoft Azure, OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, SaaS platforms, distributed systems, Service-Oriented Architecture, Python, Bash, or Groovy.
- Experience supporting mission-critical production systems, handling site reliability escalations, and mentoring junior engineers is preferred.
