Responsibilities
- Build ML systems with Data Scientists from initial design through validated production outcomes.
- Own the architecture for feature computation, prediction serving, training, and retraining workflows.
- Deploy models safely using offline evaluation, shadow runs, champion/challenger approaches, and rollback procedures.
- Define automated checks and alerts for ML system health and investigate root causes of failures and degradation.
- Partner with the MLOps platform team and co-own reusable templates and tooling.
- Set engineering standards and coordinate coding agents across data preparation, implementation, QA, security, and deployment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience shipping and operating machine learning systems in production.
- Fluency in Python, SQL, and one additional language such as Go or Java.
- Experience designing contracts between data, models, and consumers while considering latency, cost, and failure modes.
- Understanding of forecasting, regression, and optimization sufficient to evaluate model designs and production behavior.
- Hands-on experience with containers, orchestration, CI/CD, model registries, and a major cloud platform, ideally AWS.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience is a plus.
- Fluent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate across Data Science, Product, and Engineering.
