Responsibilities
- Improve core search algorithms, user-query understanding, product relevance, and search functionality.
- Develop AI/ML support for order-related user questions using context from orders, profiles, transactions, and service activity.
- Automate refunds through AI/ML systems.
- Perform raw data analysis, formulate hypotheses, create models, run experiments, and deploy results into production.
- Develop and debug distributed, high-load applications and write testable code.
Requirements
- Strong algorithmic skills, including fundamental algorithms, data structures, and their implementation in standard libraries.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Experience developing and debugging distributed, high-load applications.
- Industry machine learning experience, including modeling and training approaches such as linear models, GBDT, and DNN.
- Knowledge of statistics and end-to-end machine learning development.
- Preferred: experience developing recommendation or search systems.
- Preferred: experience training neural network models.
- Preferred: experience with Spark, Cassandra, MongoDB, and Kafka.
- Preferred: knowledge of Go.
