Responsibilities
- Define architecture, engineering practices, and technology decisions for complex platform problems.
- Lead the design, development, modernization, and enhancement of the Workload Automation Platform.
- Own the architecture and evolution of core platform infrastructure, including resilience, component communication, and scalability.
- Drive security, compliance, observability, and platform quality across Java/Spring Boot services.
- Facilitate collaboration with Product, QA, and engineering teams to support successful product delivery.
- Research and apply AI/ML concepts to enhance MFT capabilities, including intelligent routing, predictive maintenance, and security.
- Lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering peers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience building high-scale products and platforms.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot skills, with knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture principles.
- Extensive experience architecting, deploying, and managing complex solutions on a major cloud platform, preferably AWS.
- Expertise in distributed systems, APIs, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical or conceptual experience applying them to engineering problems.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, infrastructure as code such as Terraform, and automated platform management.
- Mastery of container orchestration with EKS, including inter-component communication and cluster operations.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise file-transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, and AS2, along with secure communication protocols.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering peers.
- Knowledge of Scrum and Kanban development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise application integration, preferably with SAP.
