Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and deliver major device-platform features end to end.
- Develop the IoT core, device-metrics platform, licensing ledger, and related backend services.
- Lead operational improvements that increase system robustness, reduce pager noise, and improve incident learning.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, written communication, and mentorship.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to shape technical direction and the platform roadmap.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience building backend services with consistency, latency, and uptime guarantees at scale.
- Fluency in at least one server-side language, with Python or Go preferred; Ruby or JavaScript/Node.js are also welcome.
- Ability to shape shared technical direction and deliver changes that other engineering teams can build on reliably.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required for FedRAMP compliance.
- Ability to work onsite five days per week.
