Responsibilities
- Design scalable control planes and data primitives for Verkada products.
- Build scalable distributed systems capable of handling high traffic from hundreds of thousands of globally deployed devices.
- Launch new services within a microservices architecture.
- Scale Auth, Users, Roles, and Audit capabilities for Verkada’s core products.
Requirements
- Bachelor-level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- At least 4 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience building and scaling access systems for millions of users worldwide.
- Mastery of at least one of Python or Go.
- Experience with Postgres or MySQL relational databases.
- Experience with Redis or Memcached key-value storage and caching systems.
- Experience with Kafka or other distributed queueing systems.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with React, gRPC, and API specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week.
