Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and optimize end-to-end ML-based safety moderation systems for 3D content, code, images, and video.
- Develop scalable distributed architectures and event-driven, asynchronous workflows for high-throughput asset processing.
- Deliver AI-driven safety products from initial ideation through production deployment.
- Drive technical roadmap decisions and implement observability, reliability, security, compliance, testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Partner with Moderation Operations, Product Management, Data Science, and engineering teams.
- Mentor engineering team members and promote engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and deploying large-scale ML infrastructure and distributed production systems.
- Deep backend expertise in high-capacity microservices, distributed architecture, scalable data storage and management, and event-driven asynchronous processing.
- A track record of architecting, building, and deploying low-latency distributed ML services to production end-to-end.
- Experience with streaming and messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka and Apache Flink, end-to-end testing, CI/CD pipelines, security compliance, and system observability.
- Hands-on experience with computer vision and multimodal architectures spanning image, audio, video, and 3D content modeling.
- Experience fine-tuning large Vision-Language Models is preferred.

- Annual base salary range of $278,530–$328,610 USD for roles based at the San Mateo headquarters.
- Full-time employees are eligible for equity compensation and benefits.
- Office-based roles are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence Monday and Friday.
