Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the Modern Data Platform reference architecture across Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Act as the engagement-embedded technical lead for architecture, design reviews, and hands-on implementation of complex work.
- Lead technical discovery with healthcare partners and design target states from EHR, legacy database, SFTP, FHIR, and flat-file environments.
- Lead and develop platform-specialist Senior Data Engineers and a Cloud/Platform Engineer while setting technical standards.
- Review and approve IaC, ingestion patterns, data-sharing topologies, security controls, and other engineering deliverables.
- Partner with the Engagement Manager and Field CDO on SOW scope, timelines, and technical risk.
- Coordinate technical handoffs to the QH Platform team through Delta Sharing and Reader Accounts.
- Maintain the technical engagement playbook and reusable architecture accelerators.
- Lead pre-sales technical discussions and present to CTOs, CDOs, and enterprise architects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform architecture, or solutions architecture, including technical leadership of multi-person teams.
- Production experience with at least two of Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric, with the ability to own the third platform architecturally.
- At least three enterprise lakehouse or cloud data platform implementations in regulated industries.
- Deep cloud expertise, especially Azure networking, identity, key management, infrastructure as code, and observability.
- Client-facing experience leading executive technical conversations with healthcare CTOs, CDOs, or CISOs.
- Healthcare data experience with Epic Clarity/Caboodle, Cogito on Cloud, Bulk FHIR, HL7, claims data, or on-premises-to-cloud CDC is desirable.
- Experience with Delta Sharing, Snowflake Reader Accounts, Fabric External Sharing, or Iceberg shortcuts is desirable.
- Experience in HIPAA/HITRUST-regulated environments, including PHI segmentation, BAA scope, and audit posture, is desirable.
- Experience in professional services, field engineering, healthcare consulting, or large integrated delivery network data-platform teams is desirable.
- Ability to architect and deliver time-boxed greenfield engagements and work hands-on with IaC and PySpark.
