Responsibilities
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with C-level executives and technical decision makers.
- Understand customer objectives and apply Stripe’s payments, SaaS, Banking-as-a-Service, and Link Network solutions.
- Deliver demos, respond to RFPs, evangelize Stripe products, and secure technical wins.
- Create scalable customer-engagement processes, partnerships, and reusable sales assets.
- Expand Stripe’s footprint into new global markets and business units through new capabilities and local payment methods.
- Collaborate with go-to-market, product, marketing, professional services, and partners to support customer activation and growth.
- Represent customer insights, trends, and opportunities to Stripe’s product teams.
- Travel approximately 25% to meet users and collaborate internally.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role and at least 5 years of total relevant experience.
- Customer-facing experience presenting and architecting solutions; payments experience is preferred.
- Background writing code in at least two of Stripe’s primary deployment languages, such as Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, or Go.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to learn and apply Stripe solutions such as Payments, Billing, and Connect.
- Ability to understand interactions among ERP, CRM, billing, tax, and legacy systems.
- Executive engagement, relationship-building, organization, time management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with web architecture, enterprise architecture, or defining and optimizing financial business processes is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel according to business needs.
