Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy integration, diagnostics, automation, and AI-agent tools for DPU control-plane and data-plane software.
- Create and manage testing scopes, quality plans, project schedules, and test-plan execution for DPU-based compute products.
- Provide technical leadership, oversight, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams.
- Act as a designated responsible individual, participate in on-call monitoring, detect service degradation or downtime, and initiate restoration actions.
- Debug field issues, lead cross-functional debug sessions, and drive problems to root cause.
- Maintain dashboards for live and dormant cases, KPIs, software and firmware releases, and associated fixes.
- Feed field learnings back into engineering development and testing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: 6+ years developing, testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting networking, storage, or compute cloud platforms as a lead engineer owning releases and mentoring engineers.
- Preferred: experience with Azure or similar large-scale cloud infrastructure, control planes, telemetry, monitoring, diagnostics, and reporting.
- Preferred: experience developing or testing embedded software for NICs or DPUs/IPUs.
- Preferred: hands-on networking knowledge including TCP/IP, RoCEv2, routing, switching, software-defined networking, and server platform firmware such as BMC and BIOS.
- Preferred: complex debugging in laboratory and live-site environments, large-scale data analysis, and AI agents for live-site tool automation and analysis.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800–$234,700 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of USD $160,200–$261,000 per year.
