Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize resilient, scalable, stateless, and reusable services and APIs using Python.
- Build responsive user interfaces with React and Next.js, emphasizing reusable design patterns, code quality, and secure coding.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and end users to understand needs and propose technical solutions.
- Architect solutions aligned with LGT standards and optimized for client experience and business value.
- Develop and integrate AI solutions including automation, chatbots, agent-based systems, and MCP prototypes.
- Design and optimize MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases and maintain a shared data foundation.
- Automate and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD.
- Develop multi-region deployment solutions addressing regional compliance and localization requirements.
- Implement data integrity and security best practices and contribute to test automation.
- Build reusable shared libraries and components, document technical work, and maintain system performance and reliability.
- Senior candidates will mentor junior team members, conduct code reviews, and enforce application development and testing standards.
Requirements
- Solid full-stack development experience commensurate with the candidate’s level, with strong emphasis on Python for backend and data engineering.
- Proficiency with React/Next.js, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience developing REST APIs and designing or optimizing MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and ArgoCD.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, cloud-native application development, CI/CD practices, and cloud environments, with Azure preferred.
- Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development, AI frameworks, and integrating systems with AI models such as agents and MCP.
- Knowledge of algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and software development best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and familiarity with lean development principles.
- Ability to work proactively and effectively in a small, globally distributed team.
- Senior candidates should demonstrate technical leadership, mentoring, and experience driving best practices.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, investment products, private banking, wealth or asset management, regional compliance, or localization is advantageous.
