Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain core platform infrastructure and services.
- Develop internal developer platform capabilities for self-service provisioning and deployment.
- Design and support API-first architectures and integration layers across systems and external partners.
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for secure and efficient software delivery.
- Enable event-driven architectures and service-based communication across distributed systems.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and automation for repeatability, scalability, and reliability.
- Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting across systems and services.
- Establish platform standards, reusable components, and composable capabilities.
- Support team onboarding and platform adoption through documentation and guidance.
- Embed security, compliance, and secure-by-design practices into the platform.
- Continuously improve developer experience and reduce engineering friction.
Requirements
- Strong experience building and operating cloud-based platforms.
- Deep understanding of platform engineering, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, system design, and service integration.
- Experience designing and working with APIs and integration layers between systems.
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and modern CI/CD platforms.
- Experience with cloud and bare-metal deployments.
- Understanding of modular platform design and composable architectures.
- Familiarity with observability tooling, including logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Knowledge of secure-by-design and zero-trust principles.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals such as Python, Go, or similar for platform tooling and automation.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and contributing to shared technical outcomes.
- Eligibility for SC Clearance.
