Base Salary
$128k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices.
- Lead and execute complex software projects.
- Define software specifications and test plans for test benches and lab tools.
- Communicate with internal and external customers regarding requirements, schedules, and software troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot complex software problems and test code and enhancements.
- Collaborate with application and systems teams to translate requirements into scalable software designs.
- Use AI-assisted and agentic development workflows to improve software design, development, testing, and productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
- 10–15 years of related experience or 10+ years of software development experience is required.
- Proficiency in Java or C# is required.
- Experience with microservice architecture and related technologies is required.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms is required.
- Strong software diagnostic, debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills are required.
- A master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience with project management and the Applied Materials product development life cycle is preferred.
- Leadership experience with moderate-sized projects is preferred.
- Experience in the semiconductor, healthcare, or medical equipment industries is preferred.
