Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software features across the Keyloop platform with increasing independence.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA to turn requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
- Troubleshoot defects and contribute to the operational health of team systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for owned features and components.
- Onboard new team members and begin mentoring IC1 engineers and interns.
- Suggest improvements to code quality, tooling, and development processes.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, learning, and adapting to unfamiliar technologies.
Requirements
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented or functional programming.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language and willingness to learn new languages and frameworks.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests and using test-driven or test-informed development.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of software architecture concepts including APIs, services, databases, and modern application design.
- Comfort working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
- Preferred: experience across multiple programming languages or technology stacks, cloud platforms, containerization, infrastructure concepts, AI-driven development workflows, prompt engineering, automated testing, automotive/DMS/SaaS domains, or rapidly learning unfamiliar codebases.
