Staff Engineer - AI Engineering

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with domain experts to translate business needs into effective LLM prompts.
- Develop, test, and refine prompts for diverse use cases.
- Work with software developers to integrate LLM solutions into new and existing applications.
- Build a scalable prompt-engineering framework that supports reuse and knowledge sharing.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to improve prompt effectiveness.
- Track LLM advancements and contribute to tool and platform selection decisions.
- Document prompt-engineering processes, best practices, and outcomes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience with prompt engineering and tools such as OpenAI GPT models and Hugging Face.
- Proficiency in Python or other programming languages used in AI/ML development.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and data-processing libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Previous experience or internships involving NLP or machine learning projects.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of traditional industry operations and challenges.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.

- The U.S.-based position lists a base pay range of $98,400.00 to $164,000.00, with possible geographic differentials and discretionary annual bonus eligibility.
