Responsibilities
- Deliver customer implementation projects end to end by configuring, integrating, and extending the platform.
- Translate customer requirements into maintainable solutions in collaboration with Delivery, Product, Engineering, and customer stakeholders.
- Lead technical handover into live service and ensure environments, integrations, and documentation are ready for go-live.
- Own customer issues through resolution, including root-cause analysis, fixes, communication, and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain reliable services using testing, troubleshooting, debugging, reusable configurations, deployment automation, runbooks, and monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent additional years of experience, with applicable experience in the discipline or a closely related function.
- At least five years of professional Java engineering experience developing backend web applications.
- Proficiency with Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, and relational databases such as MySQL.
- Experience delivering customer-facing implementations or integrations in a SaaS or platform environment.
- Experience supporting systems with strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, unit and integration testing, software engineering practices, and high-quality code development.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical judgment, structured problem-solving, stakeholder management, and ability to work independently in a distributed team.
- Experience with AWS, Apache Camel, Docker, Kubernetes, or other relevant cloud and DevOps technologies is beneficial.
- Experience in the insurance industry or with insurance-related software is beneficial.
