Base Salary
$190k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the architectural strategy and long-term technical vision for Signifyd’s enterprise cloud infrastructure.
- Own the roadmap for GCP- and Kubernetes-based platform capabilities across multiple engineering teams.
- Architect self-healing infrastructure, automated root-cause analysis, AI-assisted incident response, and other LLM-powered platform tools.
- Set standards for cloud networking, access controls, encryption, vulnerability management, SLOs, incident management, capacity management, FinOps, and platform reliability.
- Build a cohesive self-service developer platform spanning CI/CD, deployment, infrastructure-as-code, and build tooling.
- Architect scalable observability, monitoring, and tracing systems to improve bottleneck detection and reduce MTTR.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure challenges and drive cross-team technical initiatives to completion.
- Mentor engineers, influence senior stakeholders, and promote customer-focused, product-oriented engineering practices.
Requirements
- Deep demonstrated mastery of Google Cloud Platform and expert-level cloud networking, protocols, and security knowledge; AWS experience is a strong plus.
- Extensive experience architecting and operating self-managed and cloud-managed Kubernetes environments at scale.
- Proven experience architecting and scaling data storage and streaming technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
- Strong software development skills in Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript, with experience establishing practices adopted beyond the immediate team.
- Experience architecting secure self-service infrastructure with Terraform and declarative CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and TeamCity.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude, including auditing AI-generated code for security, correctness, and maintainability.
- Experience architecting scalable OpenTelemetry-based monitoring and tracing.
- Deep cross-domain expertise in cloud security, FinOps, cost optimization, and performance efficiency.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, ambiguous, cross-team technical initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Experience with infrastructure required to run AI/ML workloads reliably at scale is a strong plus.
