Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end architectural design and governance for Microsoft .NET systems and Azure cloud and hybrid architectures.
- Implement applications and platforms using Azure services, APIs, integration layers, data platforms, containers, and serverless technologies.
- Drive legacy-system decomposition, cloud migration, application modernization, and adoption of cloud-native patterns.
- Define requirements and architectural standards covering software engineering, testing, data architecture, security controls, and cloud optimization.
- Create and evolve enterprise applications, APIs, microservices, and integration layers across platforms, channels, and devices.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, environment standardization, source control strategies, and release governance.
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical governance forums to maintain system quality and sustainability.
- Mentor engineers and technical leads, delegate architectural work, and maintain accountability for system integrity.
- Participate in on-call escalation, incident management, root cause analysis, and systemic remediation planning.
- Promote DevOps practices, continuous delivery, automation, and shared ownership of production systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computers is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- 13+ years of professional Microsoft development and architectural experience.
- 4+ years of Microsoft Azure cloud experience.
- Extensive experience with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, Azure cloud solutions, Azure Entra, App Services, Azure Functions, API Management, and Azure SQL.
- Experience with Microsoft AI and ML, including hands-on Azure AI Foundry experience, GenAI, and agentic AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude.
- Extensive experience with MS SQL Server, T-SQL, relational database design, APIs, microservices development, and integration.
- Experience with modern UI frameworks including Angular, Vue, React, Blazor, or WebAssembly.
- Experience with SSIS, ETL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Expertise in architectural patterns and cloud-native development, plus experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Entity Framework or another ORM and familiarity with Agile software methodologies.
- Ability to provide architectural leadership, mentor engineers and technical leads, and work as an individual contributor.
