Base Salary

$125k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end creation of customer-facing features and internal tools.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
Create comprehensive technical specifications and review other developers’ specifications.
Write code and direct code generation to implement approved solutions at high quality standards.
Verify solutions across development, test happy and unhappy paths, and monitor success after release.
Mentor engineers on scalability, design patterns, and edge-case discovery.
Optimize SQL, minimize database trips, manage in-memory load, and maintain production performance.

6+ years of experience developing high-quality production code using Node.js.
6+ years of experience utilizing TypeScript for API contracts, clean data, and maintainable projects.
6+ years of experience modeling data in relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and safely evolving schemas.
6+ years of experience designing and versioning REST APIs with reliable, backward-compatible contracts.
6+ years of experience building and maintaining rigorous test suites for production release quality gates.
Experience utilizing third-party services such as Redis, Kafka, and SQS.
Ability to solve complex problems, take ownership, work through ambiguity, collaborate effectively, and learn new skills.
