Responsibilities
- Design and develop Flight Management Systems software for next-generation avionics products.
- Perform software architecture design and embedded C++ development using object-oriented methods.
- Create software test cases based on system and software requirements.
- Support software development lifecycle and DO-178B/C and DO-331 certification activities.
- Apply avionics architecture and product-line architecture knowledge to aircraft software for Part 23 and Part 25 platforms.
- Use IBM Rational DOORS NG for requirements management and Atlassian JIRA for change management.
- Support internal customer and team meetings, complete tasks to specifications, and communicate program status and roadblocks.
- Identify and eliminate barriers while collaborating with local and global teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering.
- 3–5 years of software development and testing experience.
- Experience with DO-178B/C and DO-331 certification activities.
- Avionics background and knowledge of DO-178B/C and Aero Process.
- Experience with embedded C++ and object-oriented development.
- Understanding of avionics software architecture and Honeywell EPIC and APEX product-line architecture.
- NGFMS software development experience is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in local and global teams with strong written and oral communication skills.
