Responsibilities
- Design and develop Android Automotive OS infotainment applications for media, navigation, user profiles, and distributed playback.
- Architect full-stack solutions and integrate applications with VHAL, other HALs, system services, and vendor-specific frameworks.
- Debug and optimize issues across application, framework, and HAL layers for stability and performance.
- Collaborate with platform, hardware, and QA teams on integration and validation.
- Mentor junior developers and enforce architecture, code quality, and testing practices.
- Create architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation documentation for stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience is required, with four years specified for Android application development and infotainment and telematics experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree in engineering is also mentioned.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C++14/17.
- Deep understanding of Android SDK, Android NDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AIDL/HIDL, VHAL, HAL-to-application communication, AAOS car services, and infotainment integration.
- Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, CAN, media, phone, navigation, cloud communication, partitioning, and cross-partition communication.
- Proficiency with unit testing, instrumentation testing, mocking frameworks, Git, debugging tools, adb, logcat, Perfetto, and Systrace.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety, ASPICE, ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity, TARA, and secure communication practices.
