Responsibilities

Define and drive solution architecture for enterprise applications.
Lead technical design activities and support implementation across distributed teams.
Modernise and evolve complex legacy systems.
Design solutions that are scalable, maintainable, secure, and high performing.
Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps, business stakeholders, and geographically distributed delivery teams.
Support delivery throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Promote engineering best practices and architectural standards across teams.

7+ years of experience in enterprise software development and solution architecture.
Strong Java experience, including Java 11/17 and Java EE/Jakarta EE.
Strong database design and development expertise, particularly with PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly Application Server.
Experience with enterprise software architecture, solution design, object-oriented design principles, and design patterns.
Experience leading legacy-system modernisation and supporting long-term technology roadmaps.
Experience working in complex enterprise environments.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Maven, and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams and technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Remote work is available after an initial 2–3 week onboarding stay in Dresden, Germany.
Business travel to Dresden is expected approximately once per quarter for one week after onboarding.
