Responsibilities
- Design and execute automated and manual test plans for software, hardware, firmware, and IC solutions.
- Develop and improve test automation and validation frameworks using Python and related testing tools.
- Debug software and hardware issues, analyze test results, report defects, and support root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Collaborate with global teams, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and ensure product quality.
- Mentor team members and contribute to testing strategy, QA best practices, process improvements, and test coverage.
- Identify risks, raise issues, and recommend product and process improvements while balancing quality, timelines, and feature delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a similar field.
- 3–7 years of software QA experience, including 3 or more years testing software integrated with hardware or firmware.
- Strong Python test automation skills and experience with tools such as Qt Squish or SmartBear TestComplete.
- Proficiency in Git and preferably GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- Understanding of JIRA, version control, QA best practices, and software/hardware development lifecycles.
- Experience mentoring teams, improving test coverage, and driving quality initiatives.
- Experience with electronics, microcontroller programming, bus communications, power systems, semiconductors, or ICs is preferred.
- Familiarity with lab test equipment and measurement tools is preferred; background in both Software QA and IC/Power Engineering is also preferred.
