Responsibilities
- Lead development of RaceWatch software for one or more motorsport series, especially endurance racing strategy.
- Collaborate with product managers and customers to design features and prioritize tasks.
- Identify and deliver innovative software capabilities across the RaceWatch suite.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable C/C++ software.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
- Maintain code quality, organization, best practices, and software reliability.
- Help anticipate and meet customer needs and support the product lifecycle.
- Participate in rotational weekend coverage of live motorsport events.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working in a fast-paced technical environment delivering software to customers.
- Proven track record of building applications in C/C++.
- Experience developing, scaling, and supporting products throughout their entire lifecycle.
- Aptitude for working with complex data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with technical and non-technical colleagues and customers.
- Passion for motorsport and ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Willingness to provide additional customer support and cover live motorsport events on a rotational weekend basis.
- A degree in computer science or another scientific or technical subject is preferred.
- Prior motorsport experience, RaceWatch experience, JIRA or Monday experience, Windows application development in Visual Studio, and video-processing application experience are preferred.
