Responsibilities
- Define system architecture and design for Android-based automotive infotainment applications and frameworks.
- Lead hands-on development of infotainment features using Android Automotive OS, AOSP, and HAL layers.
- Implement and enhance Vehicle HAL functionalities for in-vehicle features.
- Customize Android framework components for OEM-specific infotainment requirements.
- Perform testing, debugging, and system-level troubleshooting across software and hardware interfaces.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams, embedded engineers, and global stakeholders on feature delivery.
- Contribute to AI-enabled infotainment applications and cloud-connected experiences.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience is required, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the automotive infotainment domain.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in Android Automotive OS, AOSP, and HAL integration.
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin, with familiarity with C++ for native components.
- Experience with Android 14 and VHAL functionalities.
- Hands-on experience with audio/video frameworks, in-cabin controls, navigation, voice, or vehicle data monitoring.
- Experience with infotainment hardware setups, cloud platforms, and Android applications with AI/ML capabilities.
- Familiarity with automotive markets, infotainment regulatory standards, Agile development practices, and DevOps pipelines.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, leadership, and delivery skills.
