Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, code, unit test, and deliver high-performance, scalable applications and systems.
  • Build and maintain distributed supply chain SaaS products supporting catalog, inventory, replenishment, fulfillment, transportation, and customer experience operations.
  • Estimate effort, identify risks, support prioritization, and develop and meet project schedules.
  • Improve sustainable engineering practices through code quality, documentation, testing, monitoring, automation, and optimization.
  • Ensure systems meet certification, regulatory, compliance, and technology-based information security requirements.
  • Analyze and test products before formal launch to ensure reliable performance.
  • Mentor and coach junior and other engineers and improve software engineering practices.

Requirements

  • BE/BTech/ME/MTech/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent, or qualifying software engineering experience.
  • At least 14 years of experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems and products.
  • Expertise in data analysis and data engineering.
  • Extensive experience architecting and developing fault-tolerant, scalable, high-volume, real-time multithreaded Java applications.
  • Strong computer systems fundamentals, data structures and algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and problem-solving skills.
  • Coding experience with Java, Spring Framework, Oracle, NoSQL databases, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure such as OpenStack, Azure, GCP, or AWS.
  • Experience designing applications and web services in a service-oriented architecture, including API gateways.
  • Preferred full-stack experience with Java, React, and Node.js.
  • Preferred master’s degree plus three years of software engineering experience, and knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
  • Strong organization, communication, interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills.
