Base Salary
$180k - $233k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build platforms for agentic developer workflows using tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, including skills, plugins, and MCP servers.
- Develop self-service workflows in the Backstage developer portal, the developer CLI, IDE integrations, and frameworks for building and deploying agents.
- Own and evolve the Cloud Development Environment platform for human developers and AI agents.
- Improve build systems, CI/CD pipelines, test infrastructure, and observability used across the engineering organization.
- Prototype, evaluate, configure, and scale new AI developer tools across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of industry software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience building developer infrastructure, Developer Experience, or platform tools used by other engineers at 100+ engineer scale.
- Strong systems thinking across build pipelines, CI/CD, development environments, and test infrastructure.
- A UX mindset focused on personas, journeys, and end-to-end workflows for people and AI agents.
- Hands-on experience with agentic developer tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, with informed opinions about their limitations and adoption.
- Fluency in Go and Python for CLIs, services, MCP servers, and Slackbots, plus TypeScript and React for web UIs.
- Experience leading cross-team projects with measurable impact on engineering productivity.
