Responsibilities
- Own hardened CI/CD foundations for AI-assisted development, including testing, security scans, performance and cost guards, progressive delivery, and automated rollback.
- Build ephemeral per-PR environments, local tooling, isolated databases, and paved-path self-service infrastructure for engineers.
- Centralize AWS logging, monitoring, alerting, and automated deployment rollback across distributed systems.
- Lead security engineering through vulnerability remediation, secure-by-default patterns, code scanning, secrets management, and access-control automation.
- Migrate AWS resources to Infrastructure as Code, separate production and pre-production accounts, and establish tested backup and disaster-recovery processes.
- Standardize blue/green, canary, and feature-flag releases while mentoring engineers and modeling company principles.
- Build and operate AI agents for alert triage, incident investigation, and safe self-healing remediation.
- Contribute to backend cloud services and customer-facing product features in addition to internal platform work.
- Own and improve the operational review process.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software, infrastructure, DevOps, platform, or site reliability engineering experience.
- Hands-on AWS production experience with IAM, Lambda, networking, multi-account organizations, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Buildkite, automated testing, static analysis, coverage enforcement, deployment gates, safe release patterns, and rollbacks.
- Strong Python development experience, familiarity with JavaScript-based stacks, and experience with Docker and ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud security posture management or tools such as Wiz, Semgrep, and Snyk.
- Experience building observability for distributed systems, including centralized logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting with tools such as Sentry, Datadog, CloudWatch, or Grafana.
- Track record of operating production infrastructure end to end with measurable reliability, security, or developer-velocity improvements.
- Daily experience using AI-powered development tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or Copilot.
- Experience building and shipping customer-facing product features.
- Preferred experience with AI-code guardrails, mutation testing, ephemeral environments, automated rollback, developer experience, platform tooling, cloud cost management, performance regression detection, capacity planning, disaster recovery, SLIs, SLOs, localization pipelines, Salesforce, Contentful, Hightouch, Databricks, and emerging AI technologies.
