Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for security operations, alert triage, enrichment, and response workflows.
  • Design and build internal web applications supporting security operations.
  • Integrate, configure, and troubleshoot security tools and platforms through APIs.
  • Identify, prioritize, and resolve tooling and process gaps affecting SOC effectiveness.
  • Mentor junior SOC engineers and analysts on secure configuration, Python automation, API usage, and web application security.
  • Evaluate and recommend security technologies, integrations, and automation opportunities.
  • Develop SOC processes, runbooks, and documentation related to configuration management and tooling.
  • Apply independent judgment to significant technical and operational matters and implement improvements or bug fixes.
  • Use data analysis to generate insights and support operational decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Comcast may consider coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience instead.
  • 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong expertise in security concepts, programming, web application security, and API integrations.
  • Experience with platforms such as SentinelOne, Swimlane, Elastic, or Rapid7 is desirable.
  • Knowledge of security practices and incident response.
