Responsibilities
- Take ownership of technically complex, mission-critical areas.
- Define and drive technical strategy for new products and platform capabilities.
- Design and ship full-stack features end to end.
- Partner with product, design, and customer-facing teams to translate real-world problems into technical plans.
- Build and scale systems behind AI-driven products.
- Raise the bar for engineering quality through mentorship and code reviews.
- Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in software design and development.
- Strong full-stack fundamentals across backend services, APIs, and frontend.
- Proficiency in modern languages and frameworks like Go, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, and React.
- Experience leading cross-team projects from inception to rollout.
- Experience building AI-powered or data-driven products.
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
