Base Salary

$142k - $183k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, document, test, debug, maintain, and support new and existing software systems and applications.
  • Drive requirements analysis, technical design, software specifications, code reviews, and the full development lifecycle.
  • Serve as a technical expert, lead software design meetings, analyze user needs, and consult with end users on prototypes and solutions.
  • Prepare test strategies, plans, cases, and summary documents; maintain test scripts; perform unit, functional, load, UI, performance, regression, and system integration testing.
  • Support UAT and production applications, troubleshoot across tiers and domains, and respond to support situations within established deadlines.
  • Evaluate new technologies, analyze and correct software errors, and maintain software functionality and documentation.
  • Guide project estimates and requirements activities and mentor and monitor Software Engineers on technical assignments.
  • Follow security policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or 5 or more years of related industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of programming experience in Java, C#, C++, or Objective-C, with SQL or PL/SQL and relational database concepts.
  • AWS cloud experience and experience with SOAP or REST services.
  • Experience with XML, JSON, YAML, NoSQL technologies such as Redis, HBASE, or AeroSpike, and source code control systems.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux command-line tools, scripting, distributed and component-based architecture, networking or telecommunications protocols, asynchronous programming, multithreading, OOA/OOD, and software design.
  • Experience with automated functional testing frameworks such as Cucumber or Selenium and advanced QA/QC techniques; testing certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with Agile/Lean and iterative software development processes, secure programming techniques, code reviews, and test-driven or behavior-driven development.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Jasper Reports, or BIRT and with UML is preferred.
  • FinTech or payments experience is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to support multiple projects, troubleshoot effectively, communicate with customers, and mentor team members.

  • Base pay for the San Francisco location is $142,000-$183,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
