Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient GCP data platforms.
- Design and optimize batch and real-time pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
- Architect and manage GCP databases including Bigtable, Spanner, Cloud SQL, and AlloyDB.
- Drive data modeling, data warehousing, performance optimization, and CI/CD standards for data engineering workloads.
- Lead complex data and application migration programs, including legacy modernization initiatives.
- Implement data quality frameworks, validation rules, monitoring, alerting, security, governance, and compliance practices.
- Optimize solutions for cost, scalability, availability, and reliability.
- Act as a technical advisor to clients and stakeholders, review designs and code, and provide technical guidance.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and consultants.
- Contribute to presales activities, solution estimations, and technical proposals where applicable.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience leading the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable data platforms on GCP.
- B.Tech or BE degree.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, Java, or Scala.
- Strong experience with distributed systems and large-scale data processing.
- Proven leadership in design reviews and technical decision-making.
- Experience in client-facing consulting environments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Google Cloud Certified – Professional Data Engineer preferred.
- Experience with enterprise-scale or multi-region architecture preferred.
- Exposure to data governance, lineage, and observability tools preferred.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring data engineering teams preferred.
